Evening Star
Yesterday as I drove home,
The sunset behind me,
The blushing sky glowed,
And the scattered dark clouds were tinged purple
As they parted to reveal a window to the cyan sky,
Wherein shone a single evening star,
Revealing a moment filled with the sadness of parting and pregnant with promise,
Just like every other .
