Fool's gold

Fool's gold

Fools are we to go to the jeweler's store ,
To haggle over grams of gold,
When every morn and evening it is gifted free,
If only we would stop and see,
For each day blessed with life and sight has more gold than we can ever collect,
In every sunrise and every sunset,
And if we could learn to treasure this creed,
And use it to gilt with kindness our words and deed
We would be richer by far, happiness bold,
Than with many tolas in the bank untold.
